About AP Center

The stage after rehabilitation.

AP Center is a guided exercise facility for people with a neurological condition — such as a spinal cord injury, a stroke or MS — who have completed formal rehabilitation but want to keep working on their physical condition.

Post-rehabilitation, not rehabilitation

Rehabilitation has a beginning and an end. When it stops, many people fall into a void with nowhere to continue. AP Center fills that gap: we do not provide clinical rehabilitation, we provide a place to maintain and build on what rehabilitation achieved.

The focus is on ability and independence in everyday life — not on promises of cure or medical outcomes.

How we started

AP Center grew out of first-hand experience. Alton Paas and his family discovered how limited the options are once rehabilitation ends, and held on to the conviction that progress remains possible afterwards.

From there they built a place where people with a neurological condition come regularly to work, with guidance. AP Center operates as a project of Fundashon Alton Paas.
